CARLOS BORGES - SENIOR PASTOR
Born and raised in Chicago, Carlos is passionate about making disciples from scratch! As a bi-vocational pastor, in addition to his role as a shepherd at the church, Carlos is also the Math & Science Instructional Coach for Network 4 of the Chicago Public Schools where he oversees 28 schools. Through his "not official" ministry in the Chicago Public Schools, many students have heard the Gospel, lifelong discipleship relationships have been formed, and even a house church once spawned from this work. As Senior Pastor at Good News Bible Church, Carlos is responsible for the spiritual oversight and direction of the church by means of evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. He leads the church's work of establishing a presence in the community and is a champion for the people and the ministries at Good News as they work to fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples. At Good News, Carlos has previously served in the children's and church life ministries, as a small group leader, and an elder. He is married to his wife of 20 years, Diana, and has four children.
